KUALA LUMPUR: 25 special guests, to reflect 25 glorious years in business. That was how the Chalet Suisse gastronomic restaurant, which began operations in May 1996, celebrated its 25th silver anniversary at its One Ampang Avenue outlet, recently. Gastronomie Suisse Sdn Bhd proprietor and managing director Major (Rtd) Manfred J. Faehndrich cherished seeing the outlet weathering through, despite the tough business downturn posed by the global Covid-19 pandemic. "Coupled with many other challenges and obstacles, Chalet Suisse has managed to pull through and remain in business to serve authentic Swiss cuisine to our loyal customers. "They include Swiss nationals, other Europeans and even locals who crave for our array of food and delicacies," said Faehndrich, who is married to South Korean Kim Hyun-Ok for 35 years now.
